AAHA hospitals pass a stringent evaluation of more than 900 standards covering patient care, client service and medical protocols. Welcome to RUSVM’s Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH)

Part of the educational mission of RUSVM is to provide veterinary care in a teaching environment. At the VTH, we strive to provide excellent medical care, delivered in a considerate and compassionate manner, to all of our patients. In addition, we are committed to providing our clients with a level of communication and service that matches our clinical skill. We subscribe to a team approach to healthcare, where every patient is cared for by a team of general practitioners and veterinary technicians, and supported by a network of board-certified specialists and veterinary students which enhances the quality of the medical care we provide.

Our hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) and provides a full spectrum of medical services for small animals, including general practice, wellness care, and emergency medicine. We also offer a variety of specialty services, such as radiology, clinical pathology, and ultrasound.
 

Our mission at the VTH is three-fold:

  1. To provide excellent patient care and customer service in a professional teaching environment through the pursuit of excellence, ethical conduct, and by providing relief of pain and suffering in dogs and cats.
  2. To provide a team approach to veterinary care that includes interaction and
    collaboration with our clients.
  3. To enhance student education through the generation and dissemination
    of knowledge and life-long learning, enriched by a foreign cultural experience.
