Histopathology

An additional diagnostic service to the VTH, Histopathology enables our anatomic pathologists to microscopically study tissue from biopsies, surgically removed specimens, and necropsies.  Based upon the examination and using special diagnostic techniques such as special stains and immunohistochemistry, the pathologist will provide our clinicians with a diagnosis.  This diagnosis will allow our clinicians to determine the post-operative treatment and care of our clients (eg, whether a mass is benign or malignant).
