Dental Care
Dental prophylaxis or preventative care is very important in the general health of pets and a dental exam or cleaning is recommended in the annual care program for your pet. For geriatric patients, a dental exam every six months is recommended. The Veterinary Teaching Hospital offers the following dental services:
Dental Prophylaxis
- Complete oral exam
- Scaling with hand instruments
- Ultrasonic scaling
- Polishing
- Oral antiseptic rinse with chlorhexadine 0.12%
- Fluoride treatment
