Clinical Pathology

The Diagnostic Laboratory provides a service to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and investigators by providing routine Clinical pathology testing including hematology, clinical biochemistry, serology, cytology, microbiology, and parasitology. Pathology services including necropsy and histopathology are also available.

A branch of the RUSVM Research Laboratory provides PCR for diagnosis of a small number of infectious diseases which occur in St. Kitts such as Ehrlichia and Babesia.  The laboratory is also responsible for preparing and shipping samples to reference laboratories for tests that are not performed on site.
