The Ross University Preparatory School at St. Kitts

Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) offers students and faculty the ability to bring their children to St. Kitts by providing the Preparatory School at St. Kitts, which offers daycare, preschool, kindergarten, and grades 1 thru 8 on the RUSVM campus.

Chris Kitsmiller, a Ross veterinary student from Ohio, said, “I’m probably not your typical student. I worked as an accountant for almost 10 years and I’m married and I have three kids. I’ve always had a strong desire to work with animals. The big selling point for for me was being able to come here with my family. My children love it here. They are being exposed to a different environment and culture that they wouldn’t have been exposed to back home. I think it’s really good for them.”

Cecelia Gordon, a student from Florida whose daughter is attending the prep school, said, “The prep school was a real plus of coming. If they didn’t have a prep school I wouldn’t have even applied. That was the winning element—the chocolate frosting.”

The school strives to ensure that each student achieves academic success, develops a lifelong love of learning, and becomes a responsible citizen in a global community. This is achieved through an enriched American curriculum taught by highly trained and dedicated U.S. certified teachers who are committed to motivating students and working in partnership with parents.

The prep school operates on the same calendar as the University, making it easier for parents to manage their time.

Special arrangements can be made for students who are beyond grade 8.
