PSYCHO-EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING
Counseling staff is available to provide psycho-educational programming and consultation services on a broad range of topics for students, faculty, staff and the university community. Workshops on various topics related to emotional health (e.g. stress management, time management, test taking tips, etc.) can be planned with a minimum of two weeks advance notice. However, faculty, staff and student organizations are encouraged to make requests as early in the semester as possible so that appropriate preparations are made. The most successful programming usually involves addressing groups such as classes, faculty, staff departments, residence life units, and student groups.
CONSULTATION
Faculty, staff, or students may from time-to-time become concerned about another member of the RUSVM community. Counseling staff is available to consult with and to provide assistance to those who encounter individuals who might benefit from counseling. Early identification and appropriate intervention is the goal for better assisting the RUSVM campus community.
