Our Mission
The Mission of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine is:- To provide students from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds the opportunity to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and service to society through a comprehensive educational experience encompassing a variety of food animal, equine and companion animal species.
- To graduate students who have both the skills and knowledge needed to become successful members of the veterinary profession and society in general.
- To enhance student education through the generation and dissemination of knowledge, and life-long learning, enriched by a foreign cultural experience.
- To continuously improve the quality of education through curriculum enhancement based on assessment of student and graduate performance.
- To improve the well-being of animals and people through community service, teaching and research.
Objective 1. To graduate students who are known for their knowledge base.

Objective 3. To graduate students who are known for their compassion, intellectual honesty, trustworthiness and ethical behavior.
Objective 4. To foster diversity, tolerance and compassion in graduates entering the profession through admissions standards, scholarships and education in a supportive multicultural environment.
Goal 2. To enhance the professional program and the health and well-being of animals and people in St. Kitts and the Caribbean region through the generation and dissemination of knowledge and community service.
Objective 1. To foster research in infectious and parasitic diseases, public health and epidemiology and conservation medicine and environmental health in collaboration with island and regional Caribbean health professionals and scientists. Also, enhance faculty efforts to develop and evaluate new teaching and learning methodologies as a source of scholarly activity.
Objective 2. To encourage student interest in and appreciation for research through the inclusion of scientific information and methodology in the curriculum, and through involvement in intramural and extramural research.
Objective 3. To establish collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, including those at our affiliate schools, to promote the exchange of ideas, knowledge, and experiences for the betterment of our educational program.
