ROSS UNIVERSITY OPENS IN NORTH BRUNSWICK’S “EDUCATION CORRIDOR”
30th Anniversary Logo Unveiled at Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
On October 7, 2008, Ross University held a ribbon cutting ceremony to open the University’s new administrative offices at 630 U.S. Highway 1 along North Brunswick’s “Education Corridor.” The event also celebrated Ross University’s 30th Anniversary with the unveiling of a newly designed logo.
The new offices will serve as the University’s home for all administrative functions for the School of Medicine and the School of Veterinary Medicine, bringing approximately 110 jobs to North Brunswick. The offices will also serve as the primary location for interviewing prospective students from the states of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland.
In attendance at the ceremony were Dr. Thomas C. Shepherd, president of Ross University; North Brunswick Mayor Francis ‘Mac’ Womack III; Chris Greveson, president of the DeVry North Brunswick campus; and Ed Cenkner, director of membership for the Middlesex County Regional Chamber of Commerce.
“Ross University is proud to open its new offices in North Brunswick—a region that deeply values education and is called home by many prestigious institutions,” said Dr. Shepherd. “For the past 30 years, Ross University alumni have played an increasingly vital role in providing quality medical care to the United States. Nearly two-thirds of Ross University medical graduates go into primary care, predominantly in rural and urban areas where the need is greatest. Ross University graduates more U.S. veterinarians yearly than any other veterinary school in the world. We have a history of outstanding accomplishments and our future will only get brighter.”
“The North Brunswick community is pleased to welcome Ross University to New Jersey’s education corridor between two other great institutions, Rutgers and Princeton,” said Mayor Womack III. “This is just another example of how job growth and academic excellence increasingly define our area. We congratulate Ross University on its 30th Anniversary and look forward to many more years of success.”
