Your views of this course are extremely important to us, and can help us understand how to improve it.
You are invited to share your views by participating in a research study. This research project aims to determine the effectiveness of the online prematriculation course in helping prepare students for study at Ross. The research involves completion of the following short survey, and comparison of participants’ vs non-participants’ performance at the first exam.
- Confidentiality
The records of this study will be kept in strictest confidence. Results of this study will be presented only in aggregate form. No identifying information about individual participants will ever be released.
- Risks
It is anticipated that there is only minimal risk associated with participation in this study. Minimal risk means that the risks of harm posed are not greater than those ordinarily encountered in daily life or during routine classroom activities.
- Benefit
We hope that the study will provide real benefits to students. Quite apart from the individual benefit of participation in the program, we hope to use our findings to improve future students’ preparation for medical school.
- Voluntary participation
Participation in this study is voluntary. You will not receive lesser services or other disadvantages from Ross University or the researchers if you choose not to participate.
Your completion and return of this survey indicates your informed consent to participate in this study.
