Ross University Preparatory SchoolDear Parents and Students,
It is my privilege to welcome all students, parents and teachers to the Ross University Early Learning Center and Preparatory School in the Commonwealth of Dominica. Our experienced, caring staff at the Early Learning Center offers an excellent pre-school program where children from newborn to age four are engaged in stimulating and educational activities. We communicate with parents directly on a daily basis so we can work in partnership for the best interests of your child.
The Prep School is a small dynamic community of continuous learners who actively engage in meaningful learning experiences on a daily basis. It is a multi-grade learning environment that is preparing students to become global citizens for the 21st century where rapid social and technological changes are exciting realities. We expect our students to be respectful, responsible and ready to learn.
In both branches of our school, opportunities to appreciate diverse cultures and our learning strengths will be woven naturally into the curriculum that reflects multiple intelligences in planning and assessments. Each month we focus on a theme for character development and one for curriculum. These themes are integrated into the curriculum creatively. At the end of the month awards are given at the monthly assemblies, in recognition of individual accomplishments related to the themes. You are welcome to attend these assemblies whereby each class presents a celebration of their learning using an artistic approach. To sustain high academic standards, we require you and your child to adhere to the policies and procedures. As partners in your child’s education we look forward to supporting his or her progress and transition to the island and new school environment.
