Dr. Claudia Hutchinson joined Ross University in 2008. She is an Assistant Professor of Behavioral Science and Director of the Ross University School of Medicine Counseling Center. Dr. Hutchinson serves as a member of the Admissions, Exam and Health Center Committees.
She was awarded her doctorate degree for research in Parenting Style and the Moral Development of Youth, at The Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. Prior to coming to Ross University, she spent three years as a consultant for a Private Practice Community Health Agency in State College, Pennsylvania. She has particular interest and research experience in first generation students receiving a bachelor’s degree and understanding homeless populations.
Dr. Hutchinson is a certified Education Specialist I, Elementary School Counselor, Secondary School Counselor, National Certified Counselor (NCC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS).
She is a member of several professional organization:, American Counseling Association, National Certified Counselor Association, American Mental Health Counselor Association, American School Counseling Association and International Association of Medical Educators.
