Prior to joining Ross University, Dr. Goff taught psychiatry at Palmer University in Davenport, Iowa. He also acted as the Dean of Student Service and worked with the Faculty Senate there as well .

Dr. Goff has had a private practice since 1985 as well as lectured throughout the United States and in several other countries on aspects of child protection, professional boundaries, education of doctors and mind – body interactions in health care. As he says, “Over the years I have been very interested in the doctor-patient relationship and how that directly affects the health of the patient. It is really the perception of care by the patient that seems to have the strongest effect. I want the doctors I teach to do the best they can in communicating with their patients and to have the patients do the best they can in assisting their own care.”

For recreation, Dr. Goff likes traveling teaching sailing and skiing. He is restoring a cruising catamaran that he sails here in Dominica.
