Catherine Schipul earned a Master of Education degree at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas, and a Master of Arts degree in English from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. She taught English while a Graduate Assistant at the University of Louisville, and later at the University of Texas, El Paso, and City College of Chicago (Frankfurt, Germany campus). She taught English as a Second Language at the University of Oklahoma prior to coming to Ross University in 2004 with her husband, the late Dr. Arthur H. Schipul, Jr., M.D. As a United States Army Reserve Medical Service Corps officer, she completed the Basic and Advanced Medical Service Corps courses as well as he Command and General Staff Course. Major Schipul taught in the Basic Medical Service Corps course at the Academy of Health Sciences in San Antonio and she was also the administrative officer for the enlisted medical MOS courses at 340th General Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut.
