Peter D. Constable, BVSc(Hons), MS, PhD, Diplomate ACVIM, MRCVS
Dr. Constable obtained his veterinary degree from the University of Melbourne, Australia in 1982. He has worked as an agricultural animal veterinarian in Australia and mixed animal practitioner in England. Dr. Constable completed an ambulatory internship and food animal medicine and surgery residency at The Ohio State University and obtained the MS and PhD degrees from the same institution in 1989 and 1992, respectively. He is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. Dr. Constable has co-authored more than 175 peer-reviewed publications and 30 book chapters. He is the editor, co-editor, or co-author of 3 books, including the 10th edition of Veterinary Medicine, a textbook of the diseases of cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, and horses. Dr. Constable’s main clinical and research interests include fluid therapy, shock, acid-base physiology, calf diarrhea, surgical conditions of the bovine abdomen, and the cardiovascular response to endurance training. Dr. Constable is sought after as a speaker and has given continuing education presentations in 17 countries. He is currently professor and head of the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences at Purdue University.
Bruce W. Keene, DVM, MS
Dr. Bruce Keene, an accomplished and internationally recognized veterinary cardiologist, graduated from The Ohio State University (OSU) with a DVM in 1979. He also completed an internship at the New York Animal Medical Center and a residency in cardiology at OSU. After leaving OSU, Dr. Keene served on the faculties of the University of Zurich and the University of Wisconsin. He became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialty of Cardiology in 1983. In 1989, he joined the faculty of North Carolina State University as an assistant professor, progressing to the position of professor in 2002. He has been the chief of cardiology and a distinguished professor at North Carolina State University for the past 10 years.
Richard B. Page, DVM
Dr. Richard Page received a DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000, and has been an assistant professor of diagnostic imaging in the Department of Clinical Sciences since 2005. Dr. Page completed his senior clinical year at Purdue University in Indiana. Prior to Ross, he also attended Algonquin College in Ottawa, Canada, receiving a chemical engineering technology diploma in 1992. He went on to the Honors Chemistry Degree Program at the University of Waterloo, Canada, from 1993 to 1995. He was a radiology resident at Cornell University Hospital for Animals in Ithaca, NY from 2002 until 2005.
Jeffrey J. Runge, DVM
Dr. Jeffrey J. Runge received his DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. He completed his clinical year at the University of Pennsylvania and went on to do an internship at The Animal Medical Center (AMC) in New York. After his internship at AMC, Dr. Runge went on to the PennHIP orthopedic research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania and stayed on for his surgical residency. He is currently a lecturer of small animal surgery at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. His current clinical and research interests include canine hip dysplasia, total hip arthroplasty, and minimally invasive laparoscopic and thoroscopic surgery.
Alexandra van der Woerdt, DVM, MS, ACVO, ECVO
Dr. Alexandra van der Woerdt joined The Animal Medical Center as a staff ophthalmologist in 1994. She is board certified by the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists and the European College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists. Dr. van der Woerdt received her DVM from the State University of Ultrecht in the Netherlands and was awarded an MS from The Ohio State University. She completed her internship in small animal medicine and surgery at North Carolina State University, and her residency in veterinary ophthalmology at The Ohio State University.
