Peter Angelopoulos, MD, FACC, FSCAI, Class of 1987
Dr. Peter Angelopoulos earned the Doctor of Medicine degree in 1987 from Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Angelopoulos is board certified in endovascular medicine, interventional cardiology, and cardiovascular disease. He served as chairman of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee from 1992 to 1994. Dr. Angelopoulos is currently in private practice at Interventional Cardiology Associates, P.C. in New York State.
Michael Fiocco, MD, Class of 1985
Michael Fiocco, M.D. , is Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital. He is an expert in beating heart surgery, performing over 90 percent of his coronary cases without the use of the heart lung machine. In addition, he has special interest and training in valve repair and replacement, leading Union Memorial in providing minimally invasive mitral valve procedures.
Board certified in cardiothoracic surgery, Dr. Fiocco has performed more than 2,500 procedures and is currently a partner in the practice of Chesapeake Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, P.C. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Fiocco grew up in Westminster, Md., and has dedicated himself to practicing medicine in his community. He received his bachelor of arts from Loyola College in Baltimore.

Dr. Gerald Grell, MBBS, FACP, FRCP
Dr. Gerald Grell earned the Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery degrees in 1967 from College of London University - University College of the West Indies. Dr. Grell served as Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University College of the West Indies and Director of the Office of University Services for UWI, Cave Hill Campus, and Barbados from 1991 to 1993. He held the position of Medical Director at Princess Margaret Hospital and Louis Pasteur Clinic in Dominica from 1993 to 2000. Dr. Grell joined Ross University School of Medicine as a Professor of Medicine & Associate Dean of Clinical Sciences in 1993 and has been with the school in a number of capacities ever since.
Dr. Scott Ippolito, MD, FAAFP, Class of 1986
Dr. Scott Ippolito earned the Doctor of Medicine degree in 1986 from Ross University School of Medicine and completed a three-year residency in Family Practice at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, New York. Dr. Ippolito was founder and director of the Family Practice Residency Training Program at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center from 1993 until 1996, when he became Chair of the Department of Family Practice at St. John's Episcopal Hospital in Queens, New York. In 2000, Dr. Ippolito was named Chair of the Department of Family Practice at South Nassau Community Hospital in Oceanside, New York (Long Island). Dr. Ippolito remains a committed, reliable and valued faculty preceptor in our Department of Family Medicine.

Edward Peres, MD, Hematology/Oncology, Class of 1997
Dr. Edward Peres earned the Doctor of Medicine degree in 1997 from Ross University School of Medicine. From 2004 to 2006, Dr. Peres held the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology and Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Wayne State University and Karmanos Cancer Institute. Dr. Peres is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, Bone Marrow Transplantation at the University of Michigan. He also serves as Technical Editor for The International Journal of Cancer Research.
Miriam Vincent, MD, PhD-Chair and Professor, Family Medicine
Dr. Miriam Vincent earned the Doctor of Medicine degree in 1985 from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. She has been an integral member of the Downstate community ever since, serving as Chief Resident in Family Practice as well as holding a number of faculty positions within the university. In 1994, Dr. Vincent was promoted to Associate Professor in recognition of her numerous accomplishments as a teacher, physician, and scholar. Dr. Vincent has served since 1988 as the President of the Kings County Academy of Family Physicians, she is Chair of the New York State Academy of Family Physicians Education Commission and she is an active member on the NYS Governor's Council on Graduate Medical Education (COGME). She served as Chair of the Hospital's Executive Performance Improvement Council and as Chair of the Executive Ambulatory Care Committee. In 1995, Dr. Vincent was appointed Interim Chair of the Department of Family Practice, and she was promoted in 2001 to the position of Professor and Chair.
