Accreditation and Approvals

Ross University is proud that both of its Caribbean medical schools' academic achievements have been recognized by leading government jurisdictions and external agencies.

School of Medicine

Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM) is accredited by the government of the Commonwealth of Dominica to confer the Doctor of Medicine degree. The United States Department of Education, through its National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation, has determined that the accreditation standards employed by the Dominica Medical Board are comparable with those used to evaluate programs leading to the MD degree in the United States by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education. RUSM is also accredited by the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions, and is approved by the few U.S. states that require approval for international schools.

School of Veterinary Medicine

Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) is accredited by the St. Christopher & Nevis Accreditation Board, Ministry of Education to confer the degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. In March of 2011, RUSVM also received full accreditation from the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education. As a result, RUSVM graduates are no longer required to sit for foreign licensure examinations.
